I was inspired to write this after travelling to San Francisco. Seeing the differences in life. Whilst one man lives a materialistic life,the other is just struggling to survive.

I walked into a life the other day,I met a poor man full of hope
He asked me could I spare a little time,I just smiled and held his hand
A tear drop from his eye touched a nerve within mt heart
He spoke about the days of yesteryear and the days about to start

And you can tell everyone how great things really are
You can show everyone that brand new shining car
Say you wanted to stop awhile,but you just aint got the time
Maybe you should take a look around,at the other side of life

Maddie's got her life dug in the dirt,a maze of no one cares
Mr Brown keeps knocking on her door and she sells her body out
Can somebody help me,take away these frozen tears
These tears upon the windows of the world,where no one ever goes

So take away these thoughts within my head and these days of no belief
Running scared of all that's said and done,of these scars that lie beneath
Painfully forgotten and aware that no one cares
Taking in the parallels of life behind our shaded eyes

And you can tell everyone how great things really are
You can show everyone that brand new shining car
Say you wanted to stop a while but you just aint got the time
You wanted to think a while but you just aint got the mind to know what's right
You know you've never seen it,the other side of life
You know you don't believe in it,the other side of life
Just stop and take a look around
Cause there's another side to life
